Αναρτήθηκε αρχικά από Mosey:Even assuming that the other guardians did keep theirs, you don't see them outside of the one so it seems like a hell of an assumption. I don't think it was our ghost who told us to visit the shard of the traveller, I think it was the traveller itself. I'm not sure if you've played Forsaken but there's a line of dialogue after the rifleman boss fight that describes Cayde and his ghost as cocky and talks about how they take too many risks. Guardians mostly keep their ghosts safe and out of sight as their ghost is the source of their power. That's always how it is, not only in the Red War. You just don't always see their ghosts in cutscenes. I don't think it's only Cayde who still has his ghost, they all do. Are we to assume everyone put their ghost in their pockets for safety? I chalk Cayde still having his up to a continuity issue since we never see any others as far as I can recall. Strange it's missing from all future cut scene's though when, usually, they're hovering around. I'll admit when I saw that cut scene I thought Cayde was holding it himself as a joke, I didn't notice that it was floating on it's own. Is he also 'special' or 'chosen'? Why didn't HIS ghost point out the shard? Is the players ghost smarter, or privy to more information or intuition over others? Αναρτήθηκε αρχικά από Mosey:Well, then the question remains why Cayde still has his when no one else does in any other scenes. They use it to foreshadow its carelessness. Cayde's is important enough to show because it's seen again in Forsaken. You don't see the main characters' ghosts because it's not important to the narrative. Those that don't remain normal humans until they die their final deaths. Even when it started, looking purely at the first campaign, they decided on your typical 'space jesus' plot that every game of this type uses as it's central element. I think we should all agree that 'plot' and 'story' are things for RPG's, and this game quite deliberately deleted the RPG aspect of the game.

But if you're going to invoke space magic, you should at least mention it in your story line if you're a halfway competent writer.

If you're going to rely on a plot hole for the entire plot itself, you have a case of bad writing.Ĭan someone give a theoretical answer for why that's the case? Of course you can, it's space magic. Nevermind that your little 'ghost' fell, what, a few thousand feet and survived? Not to mention that a fall from that height would definitely kill the player character right at the start. That's a plot hole that you could fit a planet through.

CABAL GHOST FRAGMENT 3 DRIVER

That is not only never explained, but is the entire driver of the plot. Αναρτήθηκε αρχικά από Mosey:The entire plot of the first campaign revolves around not explaining how it's at all possible that your little AI 'ghost' is literally the only one to survive. Its the one thing they've been doing for thousands of years, you'd think they could hold the city for longer than it takes to brew a cup of tea. I'm sorry but I can't take anything this game does seriously if you expect me to buy that litteral immortal warrior god are this stupid and bad at fighting war.

And no one cares? No one else tries to get their light back? No one even bothers to ask "How" They just send you into dangerous situations assuming your telling the truth and aren't just in a state of deranged shock? THEN one guardian shows up who regained their light. Are barely any better at shooting stuff then random baseline humans. EVEN with the light the city is overrun and the Traveler kidnapped in the space of 15 minutes.Īnd without the light we find the guardians, bad ass immortal gods who should each have a few thousand years of live fire combat experience a piece and weapons tech from the golden age.

Instead of preparing defenses they gather all their leaders in one room where they can do nothing. In the intro they assume that a mass failure of every single alarm and communication network on the planet is cause of a rain storm.
